call for papers for the 16th Annual SIETAR Europa Congress 2007
The overall theme of the meeting on the crossroads of transformation and development is
'East, West, North, South Culture' Impact on Economy, Religion, Ecology & Politics

Proposals for presentations (deadline 15th December) and workshops (deadline 30th November) focusing on intercultural challenges in the growing European Union and state of the arts in this field are welcome. For more information see:

As the theme of cross-cultural communication and leadership is a novelty in Eastern and Central Eastern Europe, SIETAR Europa is dedicated to use the opportunity of settings in Bulgaria to introduce ourselves and meet the colleagues active in this region.

Paper and workshop proposals are invited for the following themes:

(1) New approaches in intercultural theory and research

(2) Ethics of intercultural education and training

(3) Environment, ecology and culture

(4) Religious diversity within Europe and religious challenges to cultural work

(5) Intercultural aspects of EU project work

(6) Cultural diversity in multicultural societies

(7) Cultural diversity in the corporate world

(8) New methods in intercultural training and education

(9) Intercultural trainings in business settings

(10) Intercultural trainings in healthcare, schooling and social work

(11) Special focus Eastern Europe: challenges of EU-accession

(12) Special focus Eastern Europe: state of the art of intercultural work

Available are scholarships for participants from the Eastern and Central Europe and possibility of free participation for best presenters from CEE Europe.
