The Intercultural Readiness Check is a valid and reliable questionnaire that assesses four intercultural competences:
Intercultural Sensitivity: The ability to take an active interest in others, their cultural background, needs and perspectives Intercultural Communication: The ability to actively monitor how one communicates Building Commitment: The ability to influence the social environment and integrate different people and personalities Managing Uncertainty: The ability to accept the greater uncertainty of multicultural work environment
More than 12,000 members of international organizations from over 100 countries and 15 industries filled in the IRC, making the IRC database one of the world's largest sources of information on intercultural competences.
